John Wasko of Pago Pago has launched a blog called Busycorner to showcase ecotourism in American Samoa. Most of John’s activities are available for the cost of a local public bus ride. His total self-guided package is an adventure, an education, and an experience with sufficient options to ensure two to four action-packed days on Tutuila. Busycorner offers American Samoa visitors a quality product at minimal cost. John is working with a number of hotels offering room rates from $35 a night, increasing to $60 with TV, AC, and internet. The rooms are clean, safe, and within walking distance of the bus depot at Fagatogo Market.
Busycorner is changing the way visitors experience American Samoa. The podcasts are beautifully researched, scripted, and produced. Future blog posts will include day trips to Aunu’u, new hikes, inexpensive food, nightlife, and the Manu’a Group. American Samoa’s reefs and rainforests are fabulous but still unappreciated.
